Why does the PS3 need annual Blu Ray keys? I have a Blu Ray player I bought in 2010 which works just fine and has never been updated.
I wonder what these annual updates really do?
They block known exploits to prevent jailbreaking. The Blu-Ray key is just a trap.
So I will update my PS3 slim then but do they really think people with jailbroken consoles are going to update them? I haven’t updated my CFW fat PS3 for years.
Most consoles that are already jailbroken won’t even check for Sony updates. But anyone wanting to jailbreak who hasn’t done it yet will have to avoid the update to do so.
