However, back when I still made use of porn, a lot of it can be way too focused on the guy. I don’t really have an opinion on this but I’m just gonna say that about that association between porn consumption and aggression, it doesn’t seem like they’ve found a casual relationship, just a correlation. Could be that people who are inclined to sexual aggression (or verbal aggression, as they say in the abstract is more strongly associated) are just more likely to consume porn.

It is a red flag though. And as I pointed out to him, there are many anecdotes speaking of porn causing harm. He ignored all the red flags and went with the usual line of “it’s perfectly normal in moderation”, which I’m arguing is the wrong attitude to have given the issues that many people have from porn (or in proximity to porn).
I don’t have the patience right now to analyze the meta-analysis, but many times they’re really not conducted properly, and can be heavily biased. Even without the authors seeing it.
