I rented a car and the rear view mirror is not a mirror at all but rather is a tiny LED screen showing the output of a camera. This is actually fucking terrible because I have no idea where the camera is, therefore I have no idea where this notional "mirror" is meant to be in space and therefore I cannot gauge distances, normally one of the main things you look into a rear view mirror to do
It’s incredible that people will buy this kind of crap for a ton of money!
Car rentals should be forced to provide a manual, especially nowadays when cars are full of computers and different cars have different operating modes/systems.
And no, I don’t think she is stupid or dumb. I would have reacted the same way to an idiotic display instead of a mirror with no sign to say “click here to switch to mirror”

For sure on manuals or at least a walkthrough of specific features.
I do believe the mirror just flips up/down like a normal mirror to change to mirror/camera if it’s similar to the new Nissans.
