Reddit tried to sticky this post for moderators around 12p CST today, and they’ve since tried to bury it. Thought it might be good to back up the link here.
They’d rather gargle reddit balls and complain about the taste than to lose their mod status. Nothing else to it. Let them gargle, they have the platform they deserve.
That’s a rather rude thing to say about people whilst they make an effort to help their communities.
Cool, they can use their subreddits to reroute their communities to better platforms then.
I’m starting to see the bad Reddit mods on Lemmy as well.
Yeah it was just a matter of time. Some of Reddit’s problems weren’t due to the corporation but due to human nature and the kind of people that seek out power.
If we could figure out a way to reward good mods without encouraging overmoderation, I think that would make a huge difference. Also kinda hilarious if it’s financial, if Lemmy starts paying some of its mods while Reddit continues to exploit them for free, but it would require a revenue source.
Damn, really? Which communities?
