Biden seeks to “allow for the transfer of all categories of defense articles,” his request states

The White House has formally requested the removal of restrictions on all categories of weapons Israel is allowed to access from U.S. weapons stockpiles in the country, as I reported in detail for The Intercept today. So you know I’m not exaggerating, here’s a screenshot of the request:

The request would also remove nearly all other limits on Israel’s ability to access the U.S. weapons stockpiles — permanently —by doing the following:

Israel should have access to anything they want to eliminate their enemies, because they’re our ally.

Diplomacy is literally rewarding your allies and punishing your enemies.

No one should be “friends” with the US, and every single one of its allies that stands by as they authorize ethnic cleansing is complicit in genocide. The decent people of the world all look in horror at what Israel is doing, they don’t care about ‘setting precedent’ or the US abandoning its ally by not giving them weapons. By giving weapons to Israel the US abandons basic human principles.

Because allies do not always stay allies. And because the US is friends with another country it doesn’t mean that country has a right to every single weapon in the arsenal. The US will offer protection, and back up their friends with military support.

Sure, every single one. What’s the purpose of the arsenal if we’re not using it?

What kind of friend won’t let you borrow any of the stuff they just keep mothballed in storage?

We should give Israel everything they ask for to eliminate Hamas, who in addition to being the implacable enemy of Israel, is also the implacable enemy of the United States. Why not? Because Palestinians, our enemies, might die in the process? Wow, sucks for them I guess, but they should have tried not being the enemies of two powerful democracies that have been desperately seeking peace with them for 50 years.

Israel isn’t, though. Their prosecution of the war in Gaza is both entirely necessary and entirely humane in total contrast to their enemies.

"But what about - " yup, that’s humane. The IDF does that, rather than rape a 13-year-old child with a knife between her legs and gut her from root to stem. The IDF does that, rather than rape a festivalgoer and blow her brains out with a dick still in her.

"But what about - " yup, that’s necessary. The IDF does that, rather than execute unarmed homemakers and grandmothers in front of their own children, and livestream it to her Facebook page, all apparently to get 150 of their worst goatfuckers out of an Israeli pokey.

Fuck that. We shouldn’t be roped into their holy land turf war bullshit. Let them fight amongst themselves over that low tier territory.
