    This would make more sense if it was haircutting scissors. Fabric scissors are not going to dull from cutting some wrapping paper.

      You obviously have never had your mother find you cutting anything with her expensive fabric scissors.

      Good dress making scissors are in the same price range as salon scissors.

        Yeah I could see her getting mad just because your not supposed to use them, but once again wrapping paper ain’t hurting fabric scissors. I actually prefer using the big fabric scissors with wrapping paper. Makes the job easy.

          No it definitely damages the blades.

          Fabric scissors need to be sharp so there’s no tearing when cutting and paper is one of the most damaging things to the blades.

          There’s a reason you buy cheap scissors for everyday use while things like fabric or kitchen shears are more expensive because they’re made for specific uses and are made better.

          Yeah using fabric scissors on paper makes the cut better. That’s the whole point of why they’re more expensive. They’re sharper. You don’t need an edge that sharp to cut paper. But you need an edge that sharp to cut fabric
