Republican presidential candidate Chris Christie ripped Florida Governor Ron DeSantis on Sunday over his defense of his state adapting a curriculum that teaches students that slaves developed skills that could be used for their “personal benefit.”
The fact that this guy is the voice of reason speaks a ton. This dude is such a fuckin asshole and was a shitbag governor in NJ.
I don’t really remember those days, they seem like a lifetime ago to me but I listened to a town hall he did not long ago and he was on the ball the whole time, I felt he came off more as a Democrat with some of the things he says
But I admit I’m pretty ignorant of his governing days and the trump stuff, I just don’t remember it that well with everything that was going on
Also isn’t Newsweek literally a Republican publication? Or am I thinking of something else
Newsweek is fairly center. Are you thinking of Newsmax?
Possibly
I fucking hate Chris Christie, but he seems like the only reasonable Republican candidate. That means he will never get the nomination.
I wish he was polling higher just so Trump would pay more attention to him. They absolutely hate each other and would do everything they could to destroy each other and I would be making popcorn.
Yeah, and it could have something to do with the time that Trump tried to kill him by showing up to debate practice knowing that he was positive for Covid and infecting Christie, which put him in the hospital where he nearly died.
Dunno if it will be specifically Christie, but I went and registered as a republican just so I can vote for the least insane one in the primaries. Obv won’t be voting republican in the election itself, just doing what I can.
As someone whos frequently wondered what prevents someone from sabotaging their opposing party with these tactics, I applaud you for actually doing it, although I’m also slightly scared about how this gets abused in the future
So, when will Chris Crispy Kreme start delivering Big Macs to Trump again? I’m guessing next August, or September by the very latest. These Republicans talk a big game about how bad Trump is for the country, but fall into subservience the minute he’s nominated.
