Was a hard truth for young me, learning that being queer doesn’t seem to grant people any sympathy or understanding for other oppressed people, and that gays can be absolutely every bit as atrocious as the straights™ can

Same for POC from the south. Some of the worst homophobia and transphobia I’ve experienced came from the mouths of POC Baptists and Envangelicals :/
