Only coffee does this to me though. It’s got to be a combination of things. I know coffee is higher in caffeine than most other drinks, but I sometimes take a caffeine pill, which is even higher, and it has never caused the coffee shits.
Can someone explain why coffee does that? I’ve not been able to find an explanation while being on the toilet at work.

Research has shown that caffeine makes the colon 60% more active than water and 23% more active than decaf coffee.
Caffeine is a laxative.

I still drink it too. It only causes the effect probably 1/10 times or so though for me. I don’t get it from anything else I’ve had so far.

I’m pretty sure normal laxatives would do this also
I drink decaf and it still has the same effect for me.
