Maybe I’m dumb (probably), but how is it illegal to fire employees actively talking negatively publicly about you? Can’t find any reasons in the articles and linked articles other than “violated rights”, what rights?

I thought everywhere but Montana you could be fired or quit for any reason OR WITHOUT REASON (“at will” employment) unless otherwise stated in a contract or if for discriminatory reasons based on protected traits (race, age, gender, etc).

If that’s the case, simply saying something like “those employees didn’t fit in with what we want SpaceX culture to be” dismisses the case.

Not sure but I think because it’s specifically because it’s retaliation. You can be fired at any time with or without reason, but if you can prove it was for retaliation or discriminatory reasons or something that is illegal to fire people for, that’s illegal, is my guess

        former flight attendant at SpaceX

I think I missed the part that the flight attendant was employed by SpaceX and not a private jet company (not that would make his actions any better), but I think you’re right, firing over speaking against harassment of a co-worker definitely sounds like retaliation, thanks.

Interesting it’s someone on SpaceX’s payroll presumably because a private jet vendor would see Elon as a “high maintenance client” and not worth it.
