Ive started removing the price tags that say crap like this.
At least that scam is obvious.
What’s less obvious is stuff like “Brand X cheese - 1 lb - $9.99” vs “Brand Y cheese - 8 oz - $8.99”. People go for brand Y each and every time despite it being 80% more expensive.
Even when store are forced to display the price per standardized unit of weight, they print it so small people rarely pay attention (or you need reading glasses to read it when you’re old enough, which stores of course do on purpose).
