coud be misinterpretting this… but is this the wrong link? looks like this is the list of instances EH federates from, not the list of who our comments get federated to?
asking cuz things like beecuck and lemmy world and shitjustwoke are all in the list and thought they blocked us awhile back. looks like we’re still in the blocked instances list on shitjustwoke: https://sh.itjust.works/instances
rammy.site still federates with us, so does lemm.ee it’s only the stupid lefties who defederated us.
Some block but many more don’t.
Can we modify the list to remove the ones who have blocked us? I think that would be a good idea since having them on there might just confuse people who registered here when they try to connect to them but it doesn’t work.
That list is generated by Lemmy. I have no control over it.
But I do agree with you, it would be better if instances that blocked us were not listed
Yeah it would be better I’m really not a proponent of shadow-bans as they are incredibly dishonest and often are abused, unfortunately I’ve heard that the Lemmy developers are more in favor of shadow-bans over transparency (and also that they’re hardcore lefties) so we probably won’t see that from them.
As a work around though couldn’t we also block them so that they’re not listed in the federated section? Maybe that doesn’t really apply for general instances like lemmy.world but for things like beehaw or lemmy.blahaj.zone it might make sense since there’s almost no chance they’re going to unblock us and if they did they probably wouldn’t contribute anything useful here, just trolling and name-calling. Just a thought I had.
