I don’t understand, why are they removing the feature? Why not let farmers game the first level of Doom on their lawnmowers for however long they like?

I don’t want to go back to gaming Doom on the pregnancy test.

The pregnancy test one? Where to shoot you need to get positive? That’s a lot of pee and a lot of babies.

What do you mean ‘Because Why Not’??

It’s the law, it had to be done or someone was going to hell/jail/hell-jail.

    More like “because marketing”.

Which, like, yeah, it’s working, and I’m okay with it.

The kind of people who would buy a robotic mower are probably the same kind of people that try to make everything run Doom, so it makes a lot of sense.

I own a husqvarna and love not ever having to cut my grass, while having a perfectly smoothly cut lawn. I don’t run doom on anything.

Okay, we need to kill this joke and find a better game to run. It stopped being funny way too long ago for me.

I think this lawnmower company is definitely including it as a joke, but I’d argue it’s not a joke in general.

It’s a natural progression while hacking a thing. “hello world” is a classic first step that people riff on endlessly, but it’s also not a joke, just a developmental milestone. I see Doom the same way.
