You should research drug cartel and CIA history. Fun stuff. Also military special forces and the cartel.
You should research terrorism and what happens when we negotiate with terrorists.
Except we do, all the time. It works. Isolating usually makes the terrorist you keep talking about. Then we have to negotiate and around and around we go.
