Fuck off, Hamas. You’ll notice that the protests were anti-genocide and pro-PALESTINIAN, not pro-Hamas. Nobody wants you in power, we want freedom for the citizens you pretend to represent while flying private jets to Qatar.

Just because we hate the Israeli government doesn’t mean we support yours.

When you’ve spent your entire life being oppressed, you have a good chance of turning to anyone who might promise you a way out, even if it is the wrong group to turn to.

Back in the 60s, People used to criticize the American Civil Rights movement because the Soviets supported it. Bad faith then, bad faith now.

During the bad old 60s, the Russians, or rother the soviet union did side with the Civil rights movement. This was because we were in the middle of a cold cold war with them, and they wanted to build a wedge in our society. The same may be true here, but college students are using the same rhetoric as Hamas and Iran. The Civil Rights movement refused to do that.

      But, good point

Hamas is saying Israel is committing genocide, therefore students are using the same rhetoric, of course!

You know, just like how people protesting America’s decades-long military presence in the Middle East are using the same rhetoric as Osama bin Laden.

Hamas and Iran attack Israel and its people and westerners cry foul at Israel when they attack back. Hamas and Iran couldn’t ask for better support.

I think, you need to read a lot of history as to why Hamas exists and why they attacked Israel.

Your comment is full of ignorance or perhaps you are just an Israel-supporter that leaves out the entire history.

Does your history go back to PLO days? Intifada I & 2. You know, from your history that this has been going on for 40-50 years, right? This is just the current iteration. I think the OP was referring to that.

You need history to understand what is happening right now. Doesn’t matter how long ago it was, history will always be relevant.

That’s true but where did I say that? I would like you to point the sentence.

The fact is, the first comment blames Hamas for the October attack. But they left out that:

Hamas was only made in 1987 because Israel has been doing horrifying things to the Palestinian people from 1948-1987 (still ongoing).

Hamas would have never existed if Israel didn’t stole the land, murdered many Palestinians and made an Apartheid regime.

The first comment and my own comment was about that.

Now I’m not going to have a full discussion with you. Not worth it. Want to genuinely have much more knowledge? Read the history - Books and articles.

The PLO preceeded Hamas, it’s all the same thing. Life in Gaza is nothing new. Actually, oit wasn’t too bad until lately. They have no industry, so not really viable. That’s not really a Isreal’s doing. Yes, Isreal takes ground which is not good. But, every time they attacked they feel the need for buffer zones. That’s happened since the 1948 war.

You are either misinformed or pretending to be an idiot. Anything within the embassy grounds is sovereign territory, not just a single building. And all territory the complex takes up is called an embassy (in rare cases, consulates can extend to more than one building too).

I’m pretty sure they are the leaders of tomorrow what with their generation inevitably taking over leadership when the old guard dies. So… Iran and Hamas made a factual statement? I guess that’s kind of news?

I noticed something interesting on the Harvard Square protest, where the real leaders of tommorow hang out.

Most of the tents are the same. And that means…

        A) somebody’s dad owns a tent company, or

        B) there was a rare sale on tents, and somebody had a couple grand, or

        C) uniformity was maintained

Or- here’s a theory- they all went to Walmart and got the cheapest tent available.

I guess that doesn’t involve some sort of conspiracy though, so it’s more boring.

Edit: also, the photo in this article along with many others I’m finding suggests you need to get your eyes checked.

First of all, I showed you photographic evidence that you said something completely false. There is nothing small about that.

Secondly, I have pointed out to you multiple times that your personal attacks are against community rules and yet, you keep making them against me. Do you think I will tolerate that forever?

It’s about time for you to stop playing poke the bear.

You’re already getting flagged regularly for other things you say to other people and if I have to give you extra scrutiny from now on, I will.
