Here (found these on a Discord I frequent):
Enjoy.
Looks like Latin America and my time in Bolivia.
Looking at how normal of a country the DPRK is, it’s crazy how it’s portrayal in literally all media shows 0% of this.
Almost disappointing in how normal it looks.
I have a real fondness for just normal pictures of NK, it’s like brainworm cleanser.
Speaking of, these are all village-esque, but seem exceptionally tidy! Meticulous gardening, well maintained walls, etc. Any more info on where exactly the pictures are from?
EDIT: After chasing down the Titok channel, looks like they’re pictures of relatively new-built housing for rural areas. Explains why they’re so flawless.
Yeah that’s something that’s always struck me about the DPRK. Things there seem very old yet very well maintained at the same time. It’s cozy.
Reminds me of Cuba, how there might be cracks on the walls and 60 year old cars, but everything’s neat and tidy.
American cities are dirty as shit.
Hun, kinda just looks like a developing country in Asia. Go figure.
No cap.

North Korea does seem to be a lot cleaner than pretty much any other country though.
You can see thousands of photos of DPRK on their own websites. They have a video section too. They post agitprop posters every couple months too. Weirdest photo that I saw is that the Pyongyang circus trained 2 bears to box in a boxing ring.

Yeah, seems they have a range of activities to keep them occupied and busy.
here is one photo of the Pyongyang Circus boxing bears. it was on this page. I’ve seen it on other articles but I have never seen a full explanation of the photo besides it being the circus. http://kcna.kp/en/article/q/6de293cb62be1ed062acc2e46e69b6d8.kcmsf
Im not sure this needs much more of an explanation
edit to say thanks for sharing btw
I love ballet…
They used to do this stuff in the Soviet Union.
The people have a range of activities to keep them occupied and busy…
But only so they don’t think about the miserable and oppressed they are.
If you have a range of activities to do, then that’s a good thing.
Honestly, Herbert Marcuse’s “consumerism” theory is kinda flawed.
Honestly, it’s a good part of the essay, though I have a lot of disagreements with it overall.
Fr if DRPK residents were miserable and oppressed but still getting bread and circuses, they’re doing better than most countries
How Orwellian. Stalin-esque even
Totalitarian definitely.
life outside of pyongyang - imgur album with almost 400 pictures from the dprk, showing different cities and rural areas

Where is this from?!
There are place names in the imgur album.

Every photo I have ever seen of the DPRK looks picturesque and cozy. Particularly striking is the utter lack of cars, which make even my pretty-okay city seem like a hellhole by comparison.
Fuck cars.
Inside me there are two wolves:
“Cars are a scourge upon society fuck cars”
“Polski Fiat 126P go brrrrrr”
no, but seriously, I say “Fuck cars” but I’m looking for one right now and am actively oohing and awwing at what I’m seeing.
Yeah, practically speaking I am 100% onboard with the deletion of all cars and carbrained individuals, fuck that shit it’s so annoying.
They’re nice if you need one, especially when you’re getting one for the first time, and you need to travel, but the reason we have them is bad.
The cons outweigh the pros. Trains and maybe some trucks and buses here and there would be a better system.
This is sooooo me.
When the revolution comes people will be assigned a car by their need, no more SUV sized cars, no more trucks unless used for Work, everyone starts at a small compact, if they want a car, there will be public transport provided for those who don’t need one.
Ah, like what they had in Yugoslavia, heheh
I approve, to be honest; those things were great.

Not to mention way higher literacy rate, life expectancy, access to medical care and so on.
And the Rust Belt and the South…
Not a very high bar to cross if we’re being honest

Sorry you dumb commies can’t see, but if you’re not putting everything in the wood chipper and endlessly producing the same shit you just destroyed (but this time at maximum speed), you have no freedom
Capitalism has no freedom. Capitalism is like a boot on your neck… forever.
Those Flying Pigeon style bikes you seen all over Asia are so cute and cozy to me. They’re loud AF and make a metal rattle noise, they’re fixed gear, and you’re not gonna get any sweet jumps off one. But they’re so sturdy and pleasant to ride. The chain guards are awesome and make sure grease doesn’t get all over your pants.
I’ve ridden several that were similar to the red one in the third picture down when I’ve been to places in east Asia. I rode a blue one down a mountain near Kyoto a while back. Bikes are cool. I’d love to do a bike tour of the DPRK someday.
I want to do a train tour when I go to Vietnam and then China in 2025.
Oh that sounds awesome! I hope it’s a nice time.
Me too. I’m meeting another CPUSA member there (well, hopefully, we’re still trying to time it).
I also have a few CPC members to meet.
I also have a few CPC members to meet.
Well there are 98 million of them so try randoms on the street your chances are pretty good
BWAHAHAHHAHAA
Yeah, specifically, these are people in my Weixin / WeChat group.
Several of them in that group are queer or trans, which is based, and I’ve always wanted to meet them.
But yeah, I could also just, you know, ask around…
But yeah, I hope to get them here one day (Lemmygrad and Hexbear).
