    Oh. my. god. This is such amazing news!! Chesko was an amazing modder, and economy design was one of the often-changed areas of Skyrim, so to hear that he had a hand in Starfield’s economy is incredibly exciting to me.

        Economy in video game terms usually just means the prices of stuff, not an economic simulation.

    First bit of news about Starfield that interests me lol. Glad to see someone who deserved it getting a position. Mooders like him are the only reason I bothered with Skyrim. Hope he’s able to make a good difference, but modding on your own time vs creating on company time are still two very different things, so we’ll see how it goes. Hopefully they let him do his best and he improves the end product a lot.

    That’s cool, but unless he made a mod that alters the Skyrim economy I dunno if it’s all that relevant. It would be like saying “my friend, who is a baker, is bartending at my party”

    Explains why the values are so drastically different from analogues in the previous games; and not just by a matter of “insane future inflation.”

    It also has a secondary effect of making those percentage based changes caused by the vendors attitude and your skills hit harder because the base values are higher.
