Not really a podcast, but Luna Oi’s YouTube channel is pretty cool. She’s a Vietnamese communist making videos in English for an international audience, and some of them are longer format (40+min)

Against Japanism is a kind of dry but in depth academic exploration of the uniquely Japanese flavor of fascism

Give the People What They Want is a people’s world news weekly update with an emphasis on analysis of global south countries.

The East is a Podcast is a show with a kind of tedious host but ends up having some truly excellent content - mostly trying to combat western orientalism by centering voices and analysis from the global south. Their “Tankie Group Therapy” eps with Nora from Electronic Intifada and Justin from Against Empire get posted here quite often.

(All of these are far left)

I used to listen to Silk and Steel quite a bit, which mostly covers Chinese politics and history from someone (Carl Zha) who grew up in both China and the US. It’s not centered on leftist theory by any means, but it is generally leftist I’d say. The episodes covered the tech war between the US and China were especially interesting. I haven’t listened to anything recent but I probably should.

Another one that you might like is Radio Free Amanda, hosted by Amanda Yee. I’ve only listened to a couple of episodes a long time ago, but what I heard then was good so might be worth checking out now.
