Well if you dump your murderers, sadists, rapists and other criminals to frontlines, this is what you get. It’s pointless to claim that this happens on both sided by equal amount.

Russians themselves must have paid for this as discipline problems, armed incidents inside thier own ranks, damaged relations with the people living in the occupied areas, etc.

This is the best summary I could come up with:

Since Russia launched its full-scale invasion of Ukraine in February last year, Ukrainian authorities, rights groups, international bodies and news organizations have documented an overwhelming body of evidence of alleged Russian war crimes and human rights abuses.

The reports of alleged torture against children came to light after some Ukrainian territories were retaken from occupying Russian forces.

A report released in February detailed allegations of an expansive network of dozens of camps where children underwent “political reeducation,” including Russia-centric academic, cultural and, in some cases, military education.

Since the war began, at least 545 children have been killed and nearly 17,000 injured, though the actual numbers are likely to be much higher, according to Rosemary DiCarlo, UN Under-Secretary-General for Political and Peacebuilding Affairs.

Ukraine’s representative to the UN Sergіy Kyslytsya said Russia has pursued a policy of mass abduction and forceful indoctrination of Ukrainian children since 2014.

Last week, the US State Department rolled out new sanctions targeting more than a dozen individuals and entities involved in the forcible transfer and deportation of Ukrainian children.

The original article contains 745 words, the summary contains 175 words. Saved 77%. I’m a bot and I’m open source!

I just wish we could bomb Russia back into the stone age. And all those hexbear and lemmygrad apologists can fuck right off with their claims about humans on both sides. This is not how a human should behave.

The world overall would be a lot better without Russia and that’s a fact.

Neither a hexbear or a lemmygrad, but there are humans on both sides, I don’t see how you could deny that.

Should the perpetrators be prosecuted and punished ? Of course, and I hope nobody ever argued the opposite.

Should the current political, army and economy leaders be destituted, trialed and imprisoned ? Yeah, no doubt.

But should all of Russia and its inhabitants be bombed “back into the stone age” ? I really dont’ think so. I mean, following this logic, we should bomb USA, most of Europe, China and probably many more countries where the authorities allowed and encouraged hateful and violent crimes to be commited for their own personal gain.

I live in France, and we have a history of destroying lives in other countries for no real reason. French governement officials are more or less friends with industry ceos whose companies have used and still use armed militias to maintain instability in African countries via violence, intilidation, murder and rape in order to get resources cheaper. And it fucking sickens me. But most people here don’t even know about it, and we have (for the most part) free press.

So I’m guessing it must be really difficult for a Russian resident to really know what’s happening in this war and on the frontlines, and I’d wager your average Russian doesn’t think torturing kids is ok.

but there are humans on both sides

Well, these are humans only in the strictly biological sense of the word, but if we ponder for a while what makes us human, I find it very lacking in the pieces of shit that are in the Russian army.

Should the perpetrators be prosecuted and punished ? Of course

They won’t be, though. Hence why I feel my idea with bombing them is much better.

Should the current political, army and economy leaders be destituted, trialed and imprisoned ? Yeah, no doubt.

That’s not gonna happen. Russia just renamed “tzar” to “president” but nothing else changed. They’re still stuck in the middle ages. I only propose to set them further back.

following this logic, we should bomb USA, most of Europe, China and probably many more countries where the authorities allowed and encouraged hateful and violent crimes to be commited for their own personal gain.

How far into the past are we talking? Because Russia is happening right now. I don’t really think we should bomb Europe because of what happened a hundred years ago. I’m talking about right here and right now.

Why did this CNN article not address the issues with falsified rape reports from Ukrainian officials? Seems like they didn’t bother to do a proper job exploring the issue. This isn’t to deny that sexual assault is occuring in the conflict, it is instead meant to counter the broad painting of racist tropes being spread about Russian “Orcs” raping everywhere they go.

Rape tends to go hand-in-hand with war no matter which country is the invader. Something you’ll need to contend with at the personal level is that if you are war-mongering, you are indirectly supporting sexual assaults among the people involved in the conflict. Maybe you should reconsider your justifications of war.
