    He’s a ‘free agent’ in that he’s a pro wrestler who isn’t under a performance contract to an existing promotion and is thus legally capable of doing business to make an appearance at any promotion willing to pay his asking price.

    But ‘free agent’ usually is in reference to active competitors, and he is a retired one so he’s not really a ‘free agent’ so much as just…‘available’.
