With all that fame, zoo director Narongwit Chodchoi said they have begun patenting and trademarking “Moo Deng the hippo” to prevent the animal from being commercialized by anyone else.
Trademark, sure. But what exactly are they trying to patent?
It confused me too.
Uuuhhh, I think patenting a natural shape is a very bad idea.
Oh boy, can’t wait to print off my own Pygmy hippo in 20 years, prior art might be tricky though
Imagine being sued for patent infringement for 3D printing a live Pygmy hippo.
Or even a dead one.
