And the DLC costs the same as the base game lol. Fuck that.

Not to mention that in my currency it costs almost as much as some AAA games, which is ridiculous, it’s one of the most expensive DLCs on the store also and the game never goes on sale. I don’t care how good of a game Factorio is, this pricing is absurd and massively out of touch. 🤡

To be fair, the devs know not everybody can afford it, there’s zero piracy protection in the game. You can copy the game from somebody steam install, play it locally no problems, play it off the network, even play on multiplayer servers that have turned off user verification. It’s the perfect lan party game.

On steam, at least, there is regional pricing. The lowest current price is $7

The game and DLC cost as much as a regular full price game together and give WAAAAAY more gameplay than a full price game, its also a finished game and the DLC is a old fashioned DLC, meaning you can play the game without it and with it you get almost double the game.

It’s also got more attention and care to detail than any 3 other AAA games combined. At this point, AAA is not a compliment to a game

You mention how great of a game it is, the DLC is almost twice as expansive as the base game, and you get thousands of hours out of both, with the highest rated reviews on steam. Yeah, the developers are definitely the ones out of touch here
