Claudia Sheinbaum’s presidency continues to captivate Mexicans 100 days into her term. Her approval rating soars at 80%, a four-point increase from last month. This surge reflects the public’s satisfaction with their electoral choice.

She’s making America’s president look bad, so that’s a big boost.
Uh oh, you get those kind of numbers as a socialist in Latin America and the CIA comes calling sooner or later… 😞
Didn’t her socialist predecessor also have very high approval numbers?
His was high, but not this high. https://www.as-coa.org/articles/approval-tracker-mexicos-president-amlo
Thanks for doing the legwork for me! Looks like he was around 75% approval around his 100 day mark.
and accordingly so, they’re sending in ron johnson as ambassador to destabilize mexico to get her and her party out of office.
ron johnson is the guy who destabilized central america in the past and he was trained at the school of the americas.
Thought you were referring to the Senator from Wisconsin and was confused for a second. Stupid generic-ass white guy names. The guy who was ambassador to El Salvador in the last Trump administration right?
right.
el pais has a halfway decent article that doesn’t list his war crimes on him: https://english.elpais.com/usa/2024-12-16/ronald-johnson-trumps-hawk-in-mexico.html
i hope she and her government are prepared for the the cia destablizers that are coming their way.
must be nice to have good, qualified leaders
Please invade Houston, I have terrible Spanish pronunciation but I’ll learn.
It’s alright main thing you need is the ‘r’ sound. It’s a tap of your tongue against the roof of your mouth. If you have any idea on how to roll/trill an ‘r’ it’s like that but just once. They also trill them but if you can do the tap that’ll work fine for most of it.
‘H’ is always silent
Two 'L’s are a “y” sound.
All vowels are pronounced, even when it’s two in a row. Except ‘u’ after ‘g’, unless it’s ‘ü’ ex: “bilingüe”
And the other good thing is pronunciation is incredibly consistent, unlike English once you know the rules you should be able to correctly pronounce any Spanish word you see. There’s also less sounds than English.
Ohhhhhhh! I have a friend named Miranda and once I was around a Spanish-speaking friend of hers and when this woman would pronounce Miranda’s name, I would hear “me-landa”
But that’s what you’re talking about! The “r” sounds have a little tap to the roof of the mouth… Okay, I’m experimenting with this, I had never noticed before how close the “n” sound was to the “l” sound…
Thank you!
Make “Te-hass” Mexican Again!
Did you know hispanic people have the majority ethnicity in Houston? I’m not sure how all of the non-mexican hispanics would feel about Mexico reclaiming any part of Texas, though.
They should split up the us between mexico and canada. The rest is a desert anyways you can keep that.
you can come take back florida anyday. i welcome the cheap drugs.
