my favorite thing about us interacting with liberals here is how they can’t handle us talking normally. Just our normal communication style, casual chatting, is interpreted by them as wildly offensive and rude. And that’s no matter what we’re saying or how good faith we’re communicating. It felt like even when I was trying to talk normally to libs here or federated I’d have to water down everything I said, or I’d get asked to denounce Stalin or the DPRK no matter what the topic was.
Or maybe that’s just their defense mechanism? Like a squid spraying ink. When they don’t have anything concrete to say they instantly complain about manners?

Yeah that’s it. I’ve worn down enough of them to see the pattern play out time and again. After that comes aggression and insults and if then you get “lol you triggered?”
My favourite thing to do is to ask them a simple question and then point out how they never answer it.
My second favourite thing to do is to explain why Wikipedia isn’t a good source.
My third most favourite thing to do is take a shit so big it tears my asshole in two. Gotta eat less fiber I guess.
When I learn to code I’m gonna make an ad hominem bot that insults people who invoke it. Also it will explain that an as hominem isn’t just when you are insulted, there’s more to it.

Redditors all talk exactly the same like they’re in a weird robot cult, so when they see internet people conversing in a normal, reasonably casual style and having a good time doing so it short circuits their brains
Hexbear gets reaaaally hostile when it’s obvious that a person is acting in bad faith and not at all worth talking to. The crowd does not waste its time trying to engage bad faith actors and instead just switches over to hostility, pigpoopballs or fart noises.
If someone seems in good faith or willing to actually learn then it’s pretty reasonable.
We could do well with chilling out a little bit though. Whenever an @ asks any question that might mark them as Not A Leftist they get ppb before they even show their ass.
I see it differently, I can feel a deep fire burning in almost all of Hexbear’s comments, quite different from most communities that just whine without purpose.
One day I’ll find out what this fire is aiming at. /s
That’s one of the best compliments I have ever received. Another was when I regular customer I had given my number to if they wanted me to send them reading material or podcasts on specific subjects randomly texted me one day to tell me they mentioned me at a house party vaguely and literally everyone was like “is that the cool anarchist commie guy at [grocery store]” Made me really think my agitprop in retail hell is not for nothing.
I love it when those people cry about civility because we use rude words. They think that they’ve managed to camouflage their rancid vibes just because they don’t swear.
Yeah it’s either that or someone getting defensive when people gently explain to them that something they said was (intentionally or not) extremely reactionary, insulting, bigoted etc. so then everyone just gives up being more polite than they deserved to begin with.
I believe it’s really all they know. it’s how they’ve been trained by MSM to think and speak. It’s how they argue with conservatives, who have been similarly trained. When they are confronted with a different pattern they discover they have no other method in their arsenal and are compelled to switch to ego-defense.

Poop pilled
Since they love the word ad hominem, someone should point out to them that tone policing is one of them.

The phrase
ad hominem
should invoke the botAd Hominem?
Ad Hominem Deez Nutz!

I’m new here and I couldn’t even tell there were problems with how you guys communicate.

I’m joking obviously. I agree with you.

for agitation
Usually the bad experiences people bring up are ones they instigate.
9/10 boils down to someone trying to be a debate pervert like ben Shapiro or trying to troll everyone.
Like no shit it’s a bad experience when you come in hostile from the start.

it’s mostly just lack of capitalization, punctuation, use of emojis, etc that triggers them
They have a hard time with low brow humour. They also have a hard time with high brow humor. They have a hard time with humor in general.
If liberals have a hard time with humor, explain why Bill Maher makes me laugh so hard
It’s only funny if it’s a stale meme beaten to death before it got to them
Or homophobic
Or any kind of bigotry really
