    I don’t get it, CDPR used Bioware engine for the first Witcher game and they had a lot of troubles.

    Then they decided to make their own engine for TW2 and in 2011 it looked a lot better than Unreal Engine 3.

    They went on with their Red Engine for TW3 and, great story/game aside, it looked and still looks incredible 10 years later.

    Then finally Cyberpunk 2077, a broken launch, especially on consoles, but damn does it look good (I’ve yet to see better looking game), once again using their Red Engine.

    Of course it must have been a lot of work, but when you’ve proven you can achieve it multiple times, I don’t see the point of going with Unreal. They didn’t even need to make a new version of Red Engine, the one from CP2077 was enough for games that will land in 2026.
