Might not be here much the next 48h, PC and or electrical problems that I’m trying to narrow down. One of those lol.

I need it lol. Something is triggering it to reboot when being interacted with. Can happen after 5 mins, or an hour. If I leave it sit idle (it also runs a Plex server) it’ll be fine. Have had it playing Archer and a few films nonstop since 6am this morning. But if I go on that pc and open a browser and try to load Facebook for example, auto-reboots. No error, nothing logging in event viewer, nothing.
…but it also occurs if I boot the pc to a linux liveboot USB stick so its a hardware issue. Probably something electrical I have to figure. It’s an old dell prebuilt POS long past its lifespan and fixing it is not really an option and neither is replacing it so I’m bunking up with my wife on her laptop until we can fix a different computer we have which I’ve complained about here before.
And I’m broke lmao
That’s a strange issue. The fact that it’s OS independent and not particularly tied to resource utilization makes me agree it might be electrical.
Weird question, but have you tried swapping out your keyboard and mouse? I’m wondering if there might be faulty wiring on one of those causing a short or something.
I have not, but shall check to see if I still got some spares to test with!
