Just FYI, [email protected] used to be [email protected] who deleted her account when she made everyone mad about vegan pets banned lots of people from a community and had the admins step in as the mod of lemmy.world/c/vegan and is an abusive person who misrepresents me and this community.
What kind of person pretends to be someones friend online, asks them about their day and tries to help them out then when they have a disagreement with someone, instead of talking to them like a human uses an alt [email protected] to post about that person and smear them then uses alts to manipulate the votes in that thread. Goes on to smear me and my instance for weeks in different comments. Then wonder why I’m angry and upset. This is a terrible thing to do to someone. Even on this very thread they came in with a previously unbanned alt [email protected] to manipulate the votes.
This person is seriously unhinged and should sign out of Lemmy and get therapy.

They manipulated the votes on the threads (I can see them as an admin) then deleted the account when they thought they lost. They never relinquished control though and appointed their second account. They did the same thing again then used their aqua alt to stay on the lemmy.world/c/vegan modlist. This is just immature behavior and if you can’t handle the heat don’t cause the drama. Don’t draw a target on vegan’s heads if you are completely unable to counter the trolling and bad faith arguments that come your way. This instance is primarily focused on us and ourselves, what we are reading, what we are cooking, what we are working on and all this stuff is out of scope for this instance. Sometimes I like to post memes to other instances but to think that me not liking America, a country I was raised in, makes me a tankie and that… I support the Soviet Union using tanks to suppress Hungarian fascists(?) makes no sense to me. I don’t support the Soviet Union, or modern Russia, or the US, or Ukraine, or even the country I stay in. I hate countries and borders.
On my end I don’t want to own a server that caches material I find repugnant, I get smeared as a tankie but anarchists don’t support governments. The word tankie on Lemmy has become meaningless and just means “leftist I don’t like” and it is frankly annoying. We don’t federate with lemmy.world because before we disabled downvotes we were getting punished by downvotes even on pictures of food. The instance is too large for the good of the architecture of lemmy, the mods and admins do not share values with me, and their users and posts I find to be spam. Frankly I’d turn off federation at this point except the new version is going to remove votes completely (optionally) and we’re going to try that first. Lemmy.ca was used on multiple occasions to post about us in their drama community, I think it is irresponsible to host communities like this. This unhinged user got mad at me because I wanted to defed sh.itjust.works when I saw “joke” posts about using chemical weapons and supporting military defense contractors, I find this repulsive and do not want this cached on my server, I have since learned I can block single communities and do so now.
Personally I don’t think it is vegan to have any sort of entrapped animals in your home but also don’t focus on this as part of my activism or discussions. There are other targets and priorities at this point in history.

Going by my memory of the vegan cats incident and from having checked the mod log sent to me then, none of those accounts were involved before Rooki made the power move. In fact, the mods that were involved are also among the current mods of this community. Beaver occasionally commented in the subsequent threads on Rooki’s conduct, but I don’t remember anything too heated or demanding vote manipulation. From then, I believe [email protected] got a new moderator and they got into a conflict with Beaver for unrelated reasons.
Honestly I don’t know too much about the mod drama, Just about the vegan cats and the deleting the account because they couldn’t take the heat. I was asked to life boat these people on a community on my server and they went nuclear on me when I polled my own community about the defed of sh.itjust.works. I saw how they manipulated threads with their alts, they immediately posted about me on lemmy.world/c/tankiejerk with one of them, with the manipulated votes. It was always the same few voting on their threads with accounts that have similar posting patterns, this is how I have a list of them. There are others too, probably on most instances. For a while me and another user had them all tagged and watched it in real time. It is really unhinged behavior. I assumed they were a mod then because they became one here when the users came over. I know for a fact they did something similar now and then appointed their Aqua account after more heat came their way. That’s in the modlogs lol.
I just have this account and I used to have an account on lemmy.zip but I deleted it. I find less and less enjoyment on lemmy every day and the internet in general. I have grass to touch. I’ve been trying to hike the length of this arroyo

Going by this timeline, the Beaver account was deleted around September 14, which was a month since the incident and two weeks since the last lemmy.world statement, so I’m not sure it’s attributable to the vegan cats thing.

I know they’re the same person, I know this person pretended to be my friend in matrix then instead of discussing something they didn’t like with me went nuclear with harassment on me, I know they posted about me in a thread designed to draw harassment to us, I know they consistently talk about this instance being “tankie.” Today they posted a meme about this community “loving Putin”
Alliegaytor is right, after the cats thing they were appointed a mod of the vegan comm then banned hundreds of people with a bot or something. All that said, who the fuck cares. I should have never let anyone use the c/vegan comm here for any other reason and deleted it which was my intent a long time ago. I don’t care about vegan “news” or articles and I think all the lemmy c/vegan communities are boring as fuck. This instance predates them and that and exists mostly for veganhomecooks.
For what its worth the grip of the US propaganda machine has has over the minds of liberals about Putin is intense. He is undoubtedly a bad person who I would never support, all oligarchs and billionaires are evil people who get rich by exploitation. He is a tool of the American establishment that put him power after they overthrew the SU and installed Yeltsin. He leveraged his KGB/FSB networks to take power to the approval of the US, just look to GWB and Obama’s statements on him at the time. The KGB/FSB, CIA, MI6, BND are all sides of the same dice. Like the Iran Iraq war that destroyed most of my family the Ukraine war is another US led capitalist war where the global oligarchy funds both sides, one side directly (until recently) and the other side through clandestine means and their international mafia. The US foreign policy is manipulating this conflict to destroy the lives of the working class in Ukraine and Russia while attempting to guarantee themselves access to fossil fuels and loan repayment obligations. This is what the oligarchs do to make billions of dollars. In my own families history when we fell victim to this plot it was direct support of Saddam Hussein and clandestine support of Iran in what became known as the Iran Contra plot where they laundered money through drugs and weapons in south America. It has yet to be revealed how the international mafia has been funneling money this entire time to Russia so that they can close the deal.
The US is part of a globalized capitalist empire that Putin is a part of and is another corrupt billionaire among many. It is the weirdest cope by people living in the imperial core for their own lack of democracy and power in their own communities across the US, Canada and Europe to blame him and Russia for everything where the primary influence ruining their lives are their local billionaires. The blame lies on the fascist consolidation of power over the past 80 years that destroyed all the leftist movements across the Global North and not propaganda since 2016. Putin didn’t brainwash everyone to play into his masterful hands by manipulating Lemmy with barely 40k MAU; the US, Canada and Europe (Which includes Russia) are evil places built by exploiting indigenous people, African slaves and the global south to extract all their wealth to build their vast empires then slowly and meticulously dismantled all localized power structures that could pose any threat during the cold war.
We are now witnessing their collapse from the innate cannibalization of oligarchical authority and capitalism. Putin is one of their club mates in oligarchy and US has been headed towards this collapse since the 1970s when Putin was barely 20. It is the people who attack leftists and are whipped up in a frenzy about ghost tankies that are the victims of state propaganda. Russia itself isn’t the cause of all the problems in the world, the economic system that is shared in Russia and the US is.
What bothers me about being called a tankie is that I can recognize that the tankies are smeared in this way because they are a threat to state power. They are the cause of the revolution in my country and the Islamic Republic came in at the end and seized power during the vacuum. The fact that revolutionary energy is directed towards being mad at tankies is state control. The anarchists job is to influence the tankies and convince them to try something new so that the next mode of production after capitalism (If we survive the climate crisis) doesn’t resemble the Soviet Union and failed authoritarian communist experiments of the past and we can build a non hierarchical mutually beneficial system for the next generations. Shunning them and trying to silence and censor them in favor of Liberal governments is causing Trumpism, not preventing it.

It’s important for me to clarify that I am constantly blown away by how the youth are making changes for the better. When I look at the mainstream and not just my tiny bubble of weirdos I am delighted to see a wider range of gender expression and also a focus on mental wellness.
I think she deleted her account after a lot of people got upset from her banwaves. This was after we decided to rescind the lemmy world community and hand it over new moderators, but for some reason she kept her account as a mod and stirred up some drama.
