I don’t have much of an idea either but I put some worst case scenarios so I’m going to need someone’s help to verify and disprove some of my claims.

Do you installed a companion app on your phone for extra features? That could allow for more telemetry to be gathered and sent back to servers. If your mobile device is also from the same manufacturer, there could be a chance that you don’t even need a companion app since they both probably have a special chip dedicated for features like this.

I’m aware that Apple earbuds have a feature to find a device that could be used to track your location so if the earbuds that you have also have a feature like this, this could be a potential problem.

I don’t know but bluetooth might be unencrypted or have flimsy encryption.

I’m not entirely sure about this one either. When pairing earbuds it broadcast some information. My guess Bluetooth Mac address, and device name. (Mac address Randomization is a thing)

Some earbuds have the feature of voice activated virtual assistant. ( Constant Voice Monitoring)

The Bluetooth protocol has had vulnerabilities in the past, so it could happen again.

If we’re comparing it to wired earbuds, The only one I can think of right now is if you install the companion app.
