To the Lemmy.zip PlayStation community

I have noticed that this community has been inactive for several months now and as the new moderator I’ll like to try and revive it.

Looking through previous posts it seems to have been predominantly a community for sharing news and I’d like to continue with that theme.

As well as regular news about PlayStation I also plan on posting reviews of games from all generations of PlayStation hardware as well as articles and opinion pieces.

I’m just starting out writing about the gaming industry and this seems like a perfect place to start out.

As for me I own a healthy collection of PlayStation games on disc and one of every generation of console. Except the Vita, I have two of those (look for an article about those soon).

As you can probably tell I’m mostly a PlayStation gamer but also own a vastly underpowered (for games at least) 2019 Core i3 iMac, a Series X and a Switch. But 99% of my gaming is done on Sony systems. There’s just something special about collecting trophies that Xbox achievements just can’t duplicate.

Over the next week or two I’ll flesh out some community rules (not many, promise) and maybe tease some of the content that I want to post here.

Of course if you have any ideas or suggestions about what you’d like to see on the community please feel free to share in the comments.

I’m also new to Lemmy so I may be the one asking questions from time to time. I’m currently using the Voyager iOS app and the web version but if you have any suggestions for other (possibly better) apps I’m all ears.
