    I read the other day that FromSoft was acquired by Tencent. I’m not sure when that happened but this is the kind of awful thing I expected to happen as a result. This is sad news, it’s probably time to bid our farewells to one of the greatest game companies yet again, and watch their legendary titles get butchered into sad mobile mtx laden bullshit.

      As far as I could find (wikipedia) Tencent only has a minority of shares, Sony does as well. So hopefully things won’t change, but this is worrying news.

        That’s slightly better, I thought it was a full purchase. Nonetheless, I rue the influence they will now have on this studio and can only surmise they are part of the reason for this new mobile direction.
