Fightful Select has learned that the primary reason for the Adam Cole integration into the MJF promo was because Cole isn’t near an in-ring return or a blowoff to their split. AEW wanted to address it and put a bow on that for the time being. More details for subscribers!

I think it fucking sucks that whole crap ass devil storyline imploded the way it did, but this is a smart idea if MJF is ready to go and Adam isn’t, because you can’t just put MJF on the shelf waiting around until both are healthy.
Edit: Although, I’d also like to point out the dirt sheets were talking about MJF still being too injured to return as late as last week…
