Staff at the venue are paid by the hour and they still have a lot of work to do after the show ends.
PPVs having a hard time limit just seems so weird to me
It seems like an artifact of bygone days, doesn’t it? It made sense when even PPVs were on linear channels, but in the era of VOD and streaming, I’m not sure why it’s still a thing.

It’s 2 fold:
AEW PPV’s are still available on traditional cable and satellite systems, which still have timeslots for their broadcasts.
Staff at the venue are paid by the hour and they still have a lot of work to do after the show ends.
That makes sense!
