Hey, we still haven’t been able to find a secure way to poll everyone yet. I’ve really been wanting to ask (in the negative, to be more inclusive) what proportion of Hexbear is queer. This isn’t going to be super scientific or anything as a result, but just a quick guess.

Please respond to this post with the following emojis :

For yes, you ARE a cisgender heterosexual (cishet):

dean-smile

For no, you are NOT a cisgender heterosexual (cishet):

dean-frown

For unsure, as in you are UNSURE or QUESTIONING if you are queer, transgender, a cisgender heterosexual (cishet), etc:

dean-neutral

If you have anything to add, please use a spoiler tag below your answer like so:

hi!

Remember to respond even if you are cisgender, queer, or otherwise. Everyone should try to respond, if you feel comfortable! meow-shining

I mean, that is basically the asterisk I put after I call myself cisgender. And even then, only in the sense that I don’t identify with the stuff that the boomer men around me consider to be masculine (ie: steaks, football, and diy auto maintenance culture). Signifiers that are frankly becoming dated at this point.

The only thing that I can call traditionally masculine that fits me, is that I like working with shit. If it’s something I can get inside of and understand, you better be damn fucking sure I’m tinkering and fixing it on my own terms.

Friends and family tend to call me Złota Rączka

Yeah it’s hard work, and without experience or good habits, or just knowledge in general one is bound to hit a wall or possibly even break the thing even worse.

That’s why I don’t really like the guys who are in it “to prove something”, because they always end up making the situation worse. This is one generically masculine thing that I don’t like in other men, because rarely anyone’s good at it. At least from my experience.
