I’ve got a wild theory to float about TNA and WWE. More importantly about Anthem Sports and TKO Group.

Let’s say Anthem has been made an offer they can’t refuse or they are looking to scale back down to just running media companies, TKO Group is uniquely positioned to make a play for their sports companies in that case because they could take down two small competitors to their big juggernauts.

Anthem has two Live Events/Sports Companies in MMA company Invicta FC and TNA Wrestling, both fit TKO’s profile, and WWE and UFC have a history of buying up their smaller competitors.

I’m still hoping it’s just some weird collab thing they are doing and it just looks off-putting because WWE hasn’t done this kind of thing before. The sudden restructuring at the exact same time gives me some concerns though.

Here’s hoping that wrestling’s favorite cockroach scurries away yet again.

EDIT: As I have continued to try and figure this out, something that came up in my search was the fact TNA Wrestling is partners with Endeavor for TNA+. TNA+ is built on the Endeavor Streaming platform the same as the WWE Network, which means when TNA does good, Endeavor gets paid, it’s not out of the realm of possibility this is all some corporate synergy to try and get decent numbers on TNA+.

Reminder for those who may want it: The base game of AEW Fight Forever is now available free-to-keep* for the month of June on Playstation+.

    * as in click the button during the month of June, the base game is yours for life (as long as you have an active PS+ membership to play it), no DLC included.

Unless Sony changed the fine print, you only get to keep it as long as you continue to have PlayStation+. If you end your subscription, you lose access to any “free” games that were included with it.

The good news with AEW FF being on PS+ is that you will be able to play everything you want in the base game in the first week, leaving you the other three weeks of your subscription to play the other free game!

Ooo thank you for posting it. Been waiting for it to come into ye ol port of call (along with a few other well overdue things) but no one’s gotten to it up yet.

<This spot reserved for eventual review of show!>

THE CARD (no spoilers) for whoever wants to know before hitting play.

Edit: Ok I need an authority to tell me if it’s pronounced sue-kay-bon or skee-bon, or if its an English vs Japanese thing cause to my (in all likelihood laughably inadequate) knowledge it should probably be skee-bon but I keep hearing it both ways from people involved including the commentary guy at the start of the video and my ADHD is getting triggered over it lmao.

Matches haven’t started yet but I wanna applaud the venue choice. It looks much better than the last show, hopefully the lights won’t give me a stroke this time.

Edit: First match over. I’m still gonna be grumpy about the flashing lights on the 3 count/submission, but at least they aren’t aimed right into the fucking camera this time. That being said I hate the lighting in general of every damned Sukeban show lol.

      Edit: *looks at card*

Sukeban: “Thank you for joining us Konami-san.”
      Konami: “Arigatou gozaimasu.”
Sukeban: “So here in our company, everyone has a unique identity. Who would you like to be?”
      Konami: “Konami.”
Sukeban: “Ah sumimasen. I may have misspoke. Everyone plays a new character based on old gangs, so here you’ll have a name different than the norm. What should we call you?”
      Konami: “…I’m fucking Konami.”
      Sukeban: “…understood ma’am!”

The above is my permanent head-canon.

Edit: *watches time be wasted by a guy playing with a yo-yo, thankful to be playing Simcity 2000 at the same time*

It’s an English vs Japanese thing. Both are correct. Just like “Yah-mahsh-tah” and “Yah-mah-shee-tah” for Miyu Yamashita. It’s more an accent thing than a pronunciation thing.
