A BREAKDOWN OF TNA MANAGEMENT, ONE RECENT CHANGE TALENTS HAVE BEEN HAPPY WITH, AGAINST ALL ODDS TOMORROW AND MORE

By Mike Johnson on 2024-06-13 10:41:00

We’ve received some reader questions as to how TNA management functions when it comes to the day to day of the promotion. Here is a breakdown based on what we have been able to confirm:

Executive Producer Ariel Shnerer is the one leading the day to day and has gotten good marks from talent for his communication skills as he’s regularly in contact with talents. We’ve heard from a number of talents that leading into tomorrow’s Against All Odds PPV that they’ve heard from management and creative as to their direction and what they are likely set to do in Chicago, which is not something that had regularly happened before. So Shnerer has final say as to what goes out.

TNA President Anthony Cicione is less involved in the day to day and is overseeing the business and financial side of things more than anything in creative. Cicone is believed to be the person involved in continuing to build the WWE NXT relationship and is also well liked. He would be the person in charge at the end of the day but Shnerer is the one deep in the trenches, so to speak.

Gail Kim-Irvine is very much the new Head of Talent Relations at this point, which makes sense as she’s likely the most respected person in the TNA locker room.

Tommy Dreamer, Jorge Barbosa and Delirious work on the creative with Shnerer overseeing and Kim also giving input. The creative process has remained the same after RD Evans’ exit. There is no “official” head of creative but more of a team that is working together as opposed to one person’s vision.

Well, it certainly looks like everything that has been happening is just reorganization, which I’m glad if true, especially the part about the TNA Roster seemingly liking the new heads. I hate that reorganization of the company led to some major ousters and some general LOLTNA energy though.

Of course this is “I read it on the internet, it must be true” kind of a thing though, I trust Mike Johnson more than most, but he’s still in the dirt sheet business.
