When Kenny came in, the Rebellion with him and Swan, the Title vs. Title set a record during the Anthem era with buys. It was 3-4x higher than any of the shows leading into it had been, and then the next one, the Slammiversary with Sami Callihan was the third best show of the Anthem era”

Scott D’Amore on people saying Kenny Omega “mailed in” his TNA performances:

“I watched Kenny get worked on for 90 minutes to try to build up enough strength to try to wrestle Moose at 1 in the morning in Jacksonville. . . That guy could barely walk. And then that guy sat there apologizing to Moose, giving Moose a great match that few people in the world could give him.”

I’m happy that Scott said something. If TNA fans are happier with the arrangement that TNA has with NXT, that’s totally OK. But it did bug me that there are fans who act as if Kenny Omega’s appearances for them did nothing for the promotions business. Especially since he was clearly on the brink of collapse that year.
