As opposed to Boeing Boeing Boeing:

What’s that, I can’t hear you !? The door just fell off again and we are at 1,000 feet! <Sproing> Oops, there goes our other wing too!?

It’s pretty much in on you at this point if you haven’t set up automatic do not disturb on your phone yet.

I hate this. I’ve had people call me and say “hey we’re you sleeping” and it doesn’t seem to matter what you say lol. To be fair, this is mostly my family, but damn, come on.

My mother does this. And then says she’ll call back when I’m awake and it’s like no! I’m awake now, I answered the phone, just do the talk thing now, cause I’m not getting back to sleep!

My boss did that once, no idea what he wanted because as soon as I said yes I was asleep, he said oh sorry and put the phone down.

“Yes.” “Ah, shit, well I’ll let you get back to it.” “No, I’m awake now. What’s going on?”

Every time. If someone wakes me up they may need to talk and I’m always about that.

I would have already been up for a couple of hours. My problem used to be people trying to get ahold of me at 10pm, but Do Not Disturb fixed that. People don’t understand what the 3-4am life is about.
