Bear in mind this has been reported by Meltzer however with the timing seemingly confirmed by Luchablog the report may be accurate:

TNA is slated to bring back a former star who had a rocky end to her previous run in the promotion for a big feud with one the company’s biggest stars.

During the pandemic, Tessa Blanchard was the Impact World Heavyweight Champion but had a falling out with the promotion, leading to her being stripped of the title and departing. Following her TNA run, she had a run in WOW Women of Wrestling but also had issues with her departing.

In the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer reported that the belief is “Blanchard has signed here, which explains her not being in CMLL the last few weeks.” She and Lluvia are the CMLL women’s tag team champions.

Meltzer wrote, “The belief is that she’ll debut in Atlanta, do a quick program with Jordynne Grace, with Grace then leaving for WWE when her current contract expires. At least that’s the talking point going around. But I was told Blanchard having signed is confirmed.”

TNA runs Final Resolution tonight before holding TV tapings on Saturday in Atlanta.

Third time’s the charm I guess.

For those wondering why… I posted a few weeks ago about TNA’s US ratings and they are getting a 0.01 to 0.02 on average… Nobody outside of us nerds is going to know or care and with their viewership so low they have almost nothing to lose because diehards likely won’t leave over Tessa.

Also, they apparently want a powerhouse on the knockouts and she does fit that.

      Not wrong.

TNA was on such a come up…this year has still been hard as fuck to believe how quickly they LOLTNA’d.
