This was pretty jarring to read, as someone that didn’t have any context. It starts with “We are people, not bots”, followed by advertising, and more advertising, and a second tweet that is entirely advertising. I was waiting for more discussion about our shared humanity, or maybe an apology or something that I could actually form an opinion about, but it never came. Having the tweets displayed by my screen feels quite alienating.

I didn’t even notice that this was about wrestling until I recognized that the community logo has a wrestling ring. I do not know anything about wrestling and don’t consume any media related to it.

“We are people, not bots” - I cannot give exact context for, as I am not on twitter, but twitter users are notoriously hostile toward anything related to AEW (All Elite Wrestling) due to tribalism or other idiotic reasons.

As for the rest, AEW recently announced that their two flagship shows, Dynamite, which airs Wednesday nights on TBS, and Collision, which airs Saturday nights on TNT, will also be simulcast on MAX (formerly HBO Max) beginning in 2025. In addition, they announced that previous AEW shows will be available to stream on demand on Max, but on a “rolling basis” starting with the 2019 episodes of AEW Dynamite.

But that was the extent of the announcement, nothing was mentioned about previous or upcoming Pay Per View events, or what exactly “rolling basis” meant for streaming availability of older episodes.

These tweets are meant to answer questions or clear up misconceptions about that.

Some of us within our community were wondering about these specific details these tweets mentioned, so we didn’t really need context. Unfortunately, we have little to no control of what makes it to the front pages of users outside our community (typically it’s our “Meme Monday” threads that get outside attention).
