Just to be clear though, I’m not playing with other players (so no PvP for example), just by myself.

I tried to play this game legit, and got a fair distance into the game (beat three lords of cinder, and then had to beat the dancer boss to continue to the next portion). I’d already started thinking about cheating when defeating Aldrich just felt so tedious, and I began to realize that the novelty of beating everything with ‘le skillz’ was no longer doing anything for me.

It’s not fun having to repeat a boss fight over and over and over again; also I got sick and tired of my character looking exactly the same the entire way because it’s the best armor I have, and what’s the point of collecting all these armors and weapons if I can have just one build and have to choose my armor and weapon accordingly? I’ve now given myself a gigantic boost in each of my stats and infinite health; I can wear whatever armor I want and experiment with every weapon to see which one is fun; also now I can use sorceries/pyromancy/miracles any time I want and just enjoy the game.

The novelty of beating bosses fair and square wore off several bosses ago, and I got bored of cycling through the same 2 weapons over and over again (both strength based, one fast and one powerful). I just want to enjoy myself for God’s sake.

I can’t believe I’ve spent hours and hours just repeatedly trying to beat the same bosses over and over again, or dying to some really annoying mobs like the Pontiff knights.

I just tested out some pyromancies this late into the game and you know what? They look cool; I withheld this from myself because my character was built for strength and pyromancies weren’t part of the build.

This ‘difficult for the sake of difficulty’ thing really doesn’t do anything for me. The very first boss I fought I actually enjoyed that I beat him fair and square, but then with every boss fight after the fun got less and less and the tedium set in. I play games for fun, not to be annoyed.

I’m on an FPS/boomer shooter kick right now even though I’m not the greatest at them. I suck ass at any online pvp shooter(Apex can eat my entire ass) but I still like running around and shooting things.

I found that I gravitate towards shooters that allow me to adjust difficulty on the fly and has a very easy mode or even accessibility options. Prodeus’ easiest setting is a cakewalk and you get to just turn your brain off and shoot stuff and make a mess.

I also just finished Sprawl which is a retro style movement shooter with the Titanfall wall run parkour mechanic. But the game is actually kind of challenging and the endgame gets very tedius. What kept me going was that instead of a set of difficulty options, you get 3 sliders. One is how much damage you do, one is how much damage you take, and the last is bullet time timer length. What this gives you is essentially the ability to go god mode and be super powerful out the gate. The game’s story and set pieces weren’t great but it also didn’t overstay it’s welcome and I had fun just mowing down enemies and jumping all over popping off headshots.

I’m currently doing post-game cleanup in Echo Point Nova and on the easiest setting, the game is actually still kind of hard because of it’s unique movement shooter approach. But it has accessibility options baked in which ends up making the game really fun. You get auto-melee, infinite bullet time, auto-aim, and even an auto-aim modifier that makes it so your character does leading shots(shoot where they are gonna be since the game is based on projectile damage and not hitscan damage). This last one, I’ve never seen in a game but the result is that you end up looking and feeling like a badass. A lot of the accessibility settings allow you to focus more on moving around and doing backflips while shooting mofos. I haven’t had this much fun in a game in a while honestly. Also today I learned you can grapple your own rockets from your RPG. No, seriously. I don’t think I’d like the game nearly as much if it wasn’t for the accessibility settings.

Sorry for the ramble but like others said, cheating is perfectly fine. Play the game however you want. I ain’t gonna judge.
