My pension is small since I bailed early, but I have zero debt, and very few bills, so I get by just fine. My kids are grown. My house and cars are paid off. Property taxes here are very low.
Sure, I won’t be traveling the world, but the park next to my house is beautiful, and I can see the mountains from my front porch. All is good.
Hell yeah, that sounds like the way to do it. I’m much the same way, being a decade younger and having a kid that will be 18 in a decade. If you are able, why not make your own home into your favorite place to be?
I don’t have mountains to look at but I built a koi pond in the back yard. There are a lot of birds in the trees out there, plus we have a bunch of other pets of our own. Just chilling and observing natural beauty and being in that moment can be so nice.
There’s a pretty big difference between drinking mild poisons at a Nazi bar and a local bar. Zoomed out, sure, drinking alcohol at all can be considered pretty dubious, but the difference between the two scenarios remains.

He does a ton of digital art, so I generally believe him on that. He’s also pretty asexual so I don’t think he’s looking at porn. He’d be more likely to be looking at Fortnite skins.
