The phrase “newlywed couple” came across my mind several times watching it, and Kaoruko’s husband made a similar observation, though Kizuhiro denies it.
But first let’s go back a bit and not forget the power of anime:

The Orient Express themed French restaurant seemed pretty nice. Marie had a lovely reaction to the foie gras steak, barely contain her scream (Kazuhiho: I told you so).
Both Marie and Kazuhiho’s life changed when she came to Japan, and both gained courage to broaden their relationships with people. I liked it when they naturally hold hands. Such a sweet episode.
This is about as far as I got into reading the manga and I have really enjoyed this adaptation. It’s so cozy, perfect thing to cap off a work week with. Looking forward to see where it goes from here.
