This would be the opportunity for Europe to establish itself as a global superpower. Just how we spend and build infrastructure during covid/energy crysis, pump a lot of funds into the defense industrial complex and send a lot of stuff to Ukraine, whilst at the same moment build a unified European army.
Trump’s meetings would become meaningless, security would be dictated by the new unified Europe.
Don’t forget germany became the second strongest army in terms of spending in 2023/2024 when germany decided to spend an additional 100 Billion Euros next to its normal military budget on its army, dwarfing China’s and Russia’s military budget, only to be second to the US.
This, combined with unbroken support of Ukraine would inadvertedly make Europe a force to be reconed with and be a fast lane ticket into the footsteps of what the US once was.
But sadly that will not happen because woke people bad and maybe trump would still help us.
Europe is turning fascist rapidly as well, so they can all be good chums soon enough and Ukraine can go and find a new president.
He has abandoned our old allies. We’re authoritarian now.
Trump is like the dumbass Proud Boys guy who dropped a loaded gun and shot himself in the face.
He’s treating foreign diplomacy like he can order a fucking Big Mac and other world leaders like they’re McDonald’s employees. It’s unrealistic, stupid, and it’s not going to work out the way he thinks it should.
If they had enough vision and created a real common army, we could look at the big players as equals and be a superpower in our own right.
However, I believe that these cowards will not go beyond empty words and will put us on the same level as Latin America in the 50s. Ready to be divided up and impoverished by people with true leadership.

As a result, the word of the US weighs less now - but it still weighs a lot. If a settlement acceptable to Ukraine is found, great - Trump won’t have to find out that alternatives exist. However, it is my personal belief that negotiations will fail. Trump is a poor negotiator, Putin’s team is far more experienced and can bend their country around the czar’s decision. Meanwhile, Zelensky is competent and cannot back down - he will absolutely go shopping elsewhere (Europe for sure and China if he’s lucky) for solutions when he cannot sign the Trump-mediated outcome.

Interests and dividends from frozen Russian money have already bought Ukraine weapons. If the situation is unresolvable, confiscating it for good and using it for Ukraine is a rational course of action.
