I did the check for adding 2FA and got the pop up saying to save, scroll down and do something. But didn’t see the info on the page after so I unchecked 2FA and saved again. Now any time I try to log in, I’m being asked for my 2FA token, which I don’t have because I never finished setting it up due to not seeing the link to complete. I’m still logged in via liftoff, but don’t think I can change that setting here. Any way to fix this or will I need to create a new account?

Ok, I was able to do a password reset to bypass the 2FA. But now I can’t seem to get it to login. Using Microsoft authenticator, clicked the setup link. It got added to authenticator, but saying the token is invalid when I try to log in. Just disabled it for now.

The only password managers we’ve managed to get working with Lemmy’s 2FA implementation are Bitwarden and KeePass XC. Both had different ways of setting it up.

Keepass I believe is free, Bitwarden is a paid feature.

If you do want to try with either of these let me know and I’ll happily walk you through it :)

Great stuff thanks for that, it’s on my todo list to put a post together on how to set it up so good to know there are more clients out there!
