I can’t access the meeting info anymore so I copied from WrestleTalk… Back in like May TKO’s Shapiro said…

“Very happy with M.B.S. (Mohammed bin Salman Al Saud) and the partnership we have there. We have two events a year but we’re already in discussions — Nick Khan is leading that for us in expanding that to more events.”

“We also have a phenomenal deal in Abu Dhabi with the UFC where we’re getting significant site fees and incentive packages there…”

I guess they are expanding. I just hate that Ari caved, he had cut off Saudi after the murder of the journalist and I was hoping they would do the same with TKO and instead they ran in the opposite direction because of… MONEY!

All these events, which are paid by the oppressive looting murderous government of Saudi Arabia, all turn negative profits and are done for the purpose of cleansing their reputation of execuating protestors and human-right activists.

Wasn’t a big hope in the first place, sadly. The deal has 3y left on it still, if it doesn’t get extended due to the pandemic fucking it up a bit, or extended cause TKO enjoys money.

I did kinda hope that they’d keep doing the shows until the deal ran out and then quietly not renew, but if they’re adding more shows to it, that doesn’t seem very likely.

More likely they’ll use their UK/Japan/elsewhere intl trips they’re ramping up and such to cloak the Saudi stuff while still doing em. “Yeah we’re putting on Saudi shows still, Saudi and Australia and the UK and France and…”
