You can get special adhesive remover wipes or those little alcohol pads work good, that’s what I use at work for nicotine patches or IV tegaderm patches. For kids and babies they sometimes have little wiggle pad thingies on their cheeks and then the time comes to take it off (cause they don’t need extra O2 anymore) we use the gentle adhesive remover.
When I was using patches, I just did a vigorous scrub and soap and then pick up any extra with alcohol swabs. All the residue and shit was part of the reason I switched to injections
