It makes them feel happy when they can hurt us. And because most of the media and politicians are on their side, they are currently feeling very emboldened to take advantage of that and say transphobic shit as many times as they want, even in the middle of completely unrelated conversations. Because in the end, they know that there won’t be any consequences for them.
